This special Limited Edition Automatic Analogue is true to fine watchmaking standards. The 316L stainless steel case, 41mm in diameter, is covered in anthracite-grey PVD and is both brushed and polished to emphasise its three-faceted outline. The bezel, which matches the case, bears the discreetly engraved name “Newport” and five screws reminiscent of sailing boat windlasses, and reveals a dark grey dial with blue accents. Framed by the minute track on a circular brushed blue flange, the black carbon backdrop matches the black nickel hands specially designed for Michel Herbelin. The hands are partially finished with a luminescent coating, as are the imposing hour markers, for optimal readability. Water resistant to 100 metres, this Michel Herbelin timepiece is garnished with a strap in blue FKM rubber, an extremely tough material. With a Swiss-made ETA automatic mechanical movement that clocks 28,800 vibrations per hour, this watch is water-resistant to 100 metres and offers a 42-hour power reserve. The transparent caseback reveals an oscillating mass engraved ?Michel Herbelin and decorated with a Cites de Geneve pattern, proffering a glimpse of the circular-grained bridges and frame. As with all of the brand's timepieces, this new-generation Newport was drawn, designed, assembled, adjusted and inspected at the Michel Herbelin studio in the Jura mountains of the Franche-Comt region. Heir to a French watchmaking tradition stretching back over 70 years, it offers the assurance of stringent technical standards.
